I. Who we are
All Things Kidney (ATK) is an Information & Consultancy Portal committed to offering fully referenced, medically accurate insights on the Human Kidney in health and disease.
The image below is the Official Logo for the “All Things Kidney — Official” Portal:
The image below is the graphic representation of the Website Tagline –
“Know | Understand | Take Control | Feel Empowered”
The platform aims to raise awareness, impart education and facilitate relevant resources for all patients with kidney disease, their caregivers, members of the community at risk of developing kidney ailments, healthcare professionals and all valued knowledge-seekers.
The content here is specially curated for non-specialist members of the community. Articles / Information published here and the linked social media handles aim to offer clinically approved guidance on the human kidney in health and disease, currently available standard treatment procedures, expected outcomes, relevant research advancements, and other allied issues.
The founder of this eHealth Portal is Dr. Sparshita Nag, MBBS, MS — a Physician-Scientist with a research background on Renal Tissue Engineering & Regenerative Nephrology.
Information on this website is personally curated, reviewed and authenticated by licensed physicians (allopathy) and kidney researchers who have experienced life as kidney patients themselves.
Team ATK is endowed with a composite set of skills in both clinical medicine & nephrology research. That, in addition to their own life experiences with CKD, enables them to reach out to readers in a way that is evidence-based, inclusive, comprehensive, trustworthy & more relatable for patients & carers than information nuggets generally offered online.
THE PRIME MOTIVE OF THIS PORTAL IS TO:
- Help patients combat any ignorance, confusion or apprehension surrounding this segment of healthcare
- To provide clarity on relevant issues such that patients can prepare the right questions for their medical team
- Save the most precious asset that any patient hoping to lead relatively hassle-free lives can expect to have — TIME
